Beautiful Russian lacquer box painted in traditional Kholuy miniature art style. The box features scene from the famous Russian fairy tale called At the Pike's Behest. Yemelya, the ordinary village fellow, went to get some fresh water out of the lake, but ended up catching a magic pike that turned his life around. The box is initialed by artist and it makes a beautiful gift for any occasion.
